December 4, 2007 -- An Evening with Alex Ross
New Yorker classical music critic Alex Ross discusses contemporary music and his brand-new book, The Rest is Noise: Listening to the Twentieth Century. The event begins at 8:00 pm; join us afterwards for a reception and book signing.
January 29, 2008 -- Synchronisms
Violinist Courtney Orlando of Alarm Will Sound and pianist Ken Osowski perform works by Mario Davidovsky, David Lang, James MacMillan, and a world premiere by McGregor Boyle. Join us for a pre-concert conversation with the artists.
March 26, 2008 -- A Celebration of Marin Alsop
Evolution welcomes the BSO's new music director with pieces by American composers whose music she has championed: John Adams, John Corigliano, Kevin Puts, and Christopher Rouse. Featured performers include acclaimed violinist Tim Fain. Join us for a pre-concert conversation with Maestra Alsop, Kevin Puts and Christopher Rouse.
