WHEN IN ROME (March 9, 2010)
One of the highest honors an American composer can receive is the Rome Prize, affording them a year-long residency at the American Academy in Rome. The award has been bestowed upon luminaries from Samuel Barber to Elliott Carter; this program focuses on music written by more recent winners, during and after their time abroad: Lisa Bielawa, Sebastian Currier, Pierre Jalbert and Paul Moravec.
