Dariusz Skoraczewski is releasing a set of solo recordings for the first time in his distinguished career. Currently the assistant principal cellist in the Baltimore Symphony, Dariusz took a break from his orchestral duties earlier this year to record solo cello pieces by Ligeti, Hindemith, Saariaho, Crumb and others.

An Die Musik Live regulars will recognize Dariusz from his performances with ensemble-in-residence Monument Piano Trio. Stepping out on his own, Dariusz will perform selections from 'Cello Populus', his solo debut. Originally from Poland, Dariusz's training begain in Warsaw and ended here in Baltimore at the Peabody Conservatory.

Copies of the CD will be available for sale at the concert and a reception will follow.
