Singer-songwriter-guitarist Timothy Bracken performs as co-leader of the Baltimore band June Star, as the leader of the Timothy Bracken Complex and as multi-instrumental whiz for the Weber Brothers. He has been praised by Paste Magazine for his “brilliant alt-country” and by the Washington Post for his “definitive alternative pop." Bracken has already released two full-length albums in 2012: January's “Long Untied” and March’s “Lions and Catmen," both of which are available at the website below. He contributed two tracks to the 2006 Peter Case tribute album, “A Case for Case," alongside John Prine, Dave Alvin and Joe Ely.
Michael Beresh has written over 1,000 songs in his 20-year career as a songwriter. While touring across the U.S., he has shared stages with Will Johnson (Centro-matic/Monster of Folk), Willie Nelson and Derek Trucks, and his songs have even been covered by acts such as Nashville’s Fall Back Plan. In 2010 Beresh wrote “Letters to Baltimore from the War," a piece of music based upon his great-uncle’s World War II correspondence. The song suite debuted in a sold-out performance at the Creative Alliance. In 2011 Beresh released a fifth Country Devils album, “You Don’t Wanna Know Me," and in May will release his score for the Telling Project play performed by the Veterans Artist Program.
Though he is best known as a music critic for the Washington Post, Baltimore City Paper, Nashville Scene, Jazz Times, No Depression, Paste and others, Geoffrey Himes is also a longtime singer-songwriter who has co-written songs with Fred Koller, Walter Egan, Sonia Rutstein, Billy Kemp, Stephen Wade, Jim Patton, Ed Pettersen, Howard Markman, Paul Margolis, Josh Charles, Timothy Bracken, Andrew Grimm, Bob Kannenberg and others. This month Himes will premiere his new song, “Bumblebee Blues."
