All About Jazz has described them as ”some of the best music to emerge from Norway in the past half decade”.

Since the start in 2003 In The Country have played 150 concerts in 23 countries and released four albums and two DVDs on the prestigious Norwegian label Rune Grammofon, all to great critical acclaim by the worldwide press. In The Country was awarded Best Young Jazz Artists in Norway in 2004, and have been nominated for the American Independent Music Awards 2012 for their latest video.
