2012 International Music Institute and Festival USA
Tickets: $12/$10 students
Students and Faculty of the 2012 International Music Institute and Festival USA are thrilled to return to An Die Musik for an evening of solo and chamber music for violin, viola, cello, and piano.
IMIF brings accomplished young musicians from all over the world to Maryland for an intense 10-day solo and chamber music experience. Acclaimed faculty and guest artists (including Baltimore’s Jonathan Carney, Brian Ganz, Lura Johnson, Cecylia Barczyk, and Elizabeth Borowsky) assist participants in reaching their personal and musical goals by supporting, nurturing, and showcasing their talent. In addition to first class musical instruction and faculty/guest performances, the IMIF program includes a multitude of inter-disciplinary arts experiences and daily guidance on music entrepreneurship. Former participants have continued on to professional success and credit the IMIF program with having instilled in them the confidence and skills needed to succeed.
(Psst! Have a child in your family taking lessons? Bring them as a special “treat” for all their hard work and practicing! What could be more encouraging then seeing young musicians performing at a high caliber? And you can meet the musicians after the performance during a light reception.)
