Karter Jaymes is a Grammy-nominated acoustic singer/songwriter with a long illustrious career as a drummer and songwriter with the late, great Teddy Pendergrass. He picked up the guitar after being influenced at a Tracy Chapman concert, telling himself, “I’ll get good later,” and he has done just that. He wrote “Help is on the Way”, performed by the Whatnauts; Jaheim’s “Ain’t Leavin’ Without You” (which awarded him a certificate of appreciation from BMI); and Little Mix’s latest, “How Ya Doin’?” among many others.
